By joining this small cruise, you’ll be sailing around São Miguel Island for 3 days.
You’ll get to experience sailing, being offshore without the crowds, anchoring off a beach, doing some snorkeling, using the paddle SUP board, or enjoying and relaxing on our comfortable lounge areas and even visiting remote areas of the island walking or even hiking.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Boarding & Setting Sail
Meet at the Vila Franca do Campo marina at 11 AM for boarding and a safety briefing. We cruise around São Miguel Island, planning our route according to the weather. Swim, snorkel and explore by dinghy. Anchor for the night in a sheltered bay or local port.
Day 2 — Full Day at Sea
A full day of sailing and exploring. Follow the wind and the weather — anchor in remote bays, enjoy snorkeling or using the paddleboards, visit a small fishing village, hike ashore, or simply relax on deck. Half-board: breakfast and lunch served by the crew. Dinner can be ashore at a local restaurant or aboard if you’d like.
Day 3 — Make the best of it.
A slow final morning aboard. Write in the boat’s honor book, exchange photos and contacts. Have lunch, and after a final sailing afternoon, disembark at 5 PM at Vila Franca do Campo Marina.

Can beginners join a multi-day sailing trip in the Azores?
Yes. No sailing experience is needed. A professional captain and crew handle all sailing. Guests enjoy the experience as passengers — swimming, exploring by dinghy and relaxing on deck. The crew briefs everyone on safety before departure.
Where does the Azores catamaran trip depart from?
All sailing trips depart from Vila Franca do Campo marina on the south coast of São Miguel Island, Azores. Meeting point is the "Bar da Marina". Free parking is available nearby or just take a taxi for peace of mind.
Where will we go sailing during this trip?
We will decide our itinerary according to the weather but during this trip, we can go for a round the island of São Miguel, Santa Maria and back, or simply enjoy our time living the catamaran lifestyle at a slow pace in the south coast of São Miguel. There are plenty of possibilites and it's up to you to tell your captain what you'd like out of it.
